“Reed”
Gund frog, vintage era
Reed has a curious habit of sitting as though he’s been interrupted in the middle of an important thought. His long legs never seem to stay arranged for very long, always settling back into whatever position feels most comfortable. Tucked safely inside is a gentle little croaking rattle that answers with a soft grrk whenever he’s picked up.
He also has a peculiar fondness for pockets. Coat pockets, apron pockets, the little pouch on the back of an armchair—if something has a pocket, Reed would very much like to know what’s in it. He never takes anything. He simply considers himself responsible for knowing where the interesting things are kept.
These days, he is happiest somewhere low and comfortable, where his feet can dangle and he can quietly observe the comings and goings of the house. After all these years, his fur has softened and settled in places, giving him the unmistakable look of someone who has already been loved—and is quite prepared to be loved again.
