Every Return Begins with Softness

Some pieces here have already lived a life. Others are only just starting theirs. Some were held through a childhood, tucked into a shelf, forgotten in an attic — and found their way back to us, worn in the particular way that only being loved can wear something down. Others are just beginning their story, waiting for someone to carry them through it.

We don’t believe softness is something you outgrow. It’s something you set down for a while, and come back to. Whether you’re rediscovering a piece from your own past or adopting one for the first time, we hope you find what you’re looking for.

I make some of what you’ll find here myself. The rest I rescue: pieces that already had a life before they found me, and are looking for their next one. Both matter to me the same amount. A bear doesn’t need to be new to be loved, and it doesn’t need to be old to be real.

With Love,

Catherine

What’s Ahead

This is still early. In the works: a course for anyone who wants to learn to make their own bear from scratch, downloadable TCR original patterns, and openings for custom commissions — a companion made to your own specifications. More to come. Bear with us.

One More Bear?

Every plush here has a story worth knowing. If you’re curious about a particular rescue, thinking about a custom piece, or just want to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
