“Birch”
Mary Meyer mixed breed dog, vintage era
Birch has the sort of face that suggests he has been waiting by the door for you, even though no one actually asked him to. His shaggy gray-and-cream coat falls every which way, his brown ears flop just enough to make him look permanently concerned, and his enormous paws give the impression that he never quite grew into his feet.
He is very serious about accompanying people from room to room. Not helping, exactly — Birch considers supervision a perfectly respectable contribution. He’ll settle somewhere directly in the path between you and whatever you’re trying to accomplish, then look mildly surprised when you need to step over him.
There is something wonderfully ordinary about Birch: not a show dog, not particularly dignified, and certainly not interested in being impressive. Just a good old mutt with muddy-colored paws, a soft belly, and the quiet conviction that wherever you are is probably where he belongs.
Details
11 inches · shaggy gray, cream & brown faux fur · oversized soft paws · floppy brown ears · softly matted tail from so many wags · gentle preloved condition
Ready for Adoption
Hoping for a person to follow from room to room for a very long time.
Care
Surface spot-clean only. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight.
The Cuddle Revival Promise
Every rescued companion is carefully cleaned, gently inspected, and photographed honestly so the friend you meet here is the one who arrives at your door.
A very good mutt, by all the measures that matter.
